He is super sweet and very gentle
Good in hand manners ~ Bear has been started driving and hooked a few times
With just a couple of weeks of ground he will be ready to hook again.
I ground drove him for a year from age 2 1/2 to 3 1/2
We sent him to a trainer with his ComfyFit harness with the agreement he would not be started with any kind of check and the first few hooks would be in an open bridle as I wanted him to know what was behind him. Trainer lied to us on the agreement and she used an overcheck, her thin show harness and blinders. When we went to see him @ 3 weeks, he was scared of us in the stall, which is not Bear at all as he has no fear. He was too thin. We came home, brought a trailer and went back and brought him home. I did no work with him but normal loves and turnout for 4 months to get him over the fear in the stall and then it took another month for him to trust me with harnessing him again. He is now ready to hook and I foresee no issues.
We will continue to work with him and get him hooked and driving.
Price will increase as Bear progress's
he is being offered as green~ If you are green as well it would not be a good match as green horses and green drivers are not the ideal.
Will make an awesome CDE or Breed show driver. He is not a riding pony.
He is up to date on Shots, dental, farrier, worming.
He is not getting all the attention he deserves as just a pasture ornament
